Tristar Surveys Limited was established in 1987 by Capt. Shafiq Bhuiyan MNI, a retired Master Mariner with over 18 years of experience in different technical consultancies and sea-going experience. He has been leading the organisation since its inception and has been integral in its growth throughout.
Apart from chairing the board, Capt. Bhuiyan has been involved with many organisations at various capacities:
1) Founder President, Marine Surveyors Association of Bangladesh. 2) Member, Nautical Institute (UK). 3) Vice Chairman, Nautical Institute Bangladesh. 4) Founder General Secretary and life member, Society of Master Mariners Bangladesh. 5) Council member, Bangladesh Society for Non-Destructive Test. 6) Authorised Surveyor, Beckmann & Jorgensen International Limited, Antwerp. 7) Honorary Secretary, The Chittagong Lions Foundation
